From the Director

Dear Friend,
Spring is on its way and we are busily preparing for another fantastic year. First, if you are the parent of child between ages 6-11, be sure to check out our ever-popular Hands-on History Program. In these week-long programs, kids are immersed in a variety of fun and engaging themes from mining to homesteading to directing and starring in their own silent movie. Get them into the fun and enroll your child for either a full- or half-day program!
Beginning Memorial Day weekend, enjoy Summer on the Homestead at Clear Creek History Park. Check our Facebook page to find out on which special days you’ll be able to step back into 1800s life. Explore our historic buildings and join our costumed interpreters to try your hand at blacksmithing, cooking on a wood-fired oven, tending the garden, and doing laundry the old fashioned way.
Mark your calendar for Golden Music Festival, June 14-16. Our natural hillside amphitheater at Clear Creek History Park in Golden, Colorado, will be the center of everything fun in Golden that weekend. You won’t want to miss a single performance.
All three museums—Golden History Center, Astor House Museum, and Clear Creek History Park—offer special activities all summer long. Be sure to bookmark our calendar of events and check out what’s new all year long.
See you here soon,
Nathan Richie
Director
