Construction at Astor House has kicked into high gear! The first floor has been shored and the old, weak beams have been removed in order to make room for the steel replacements. Workers hand-jacked the first floor ceiling upwards, while a worker on the second floor lowered floor bracing to avoid raising the third floor.
Concrete retaining walls and MiraDrain systems (drains ground water seepage) have been placed in both basements.
