This event is drop-in style; there is no registration. Come any time between 10 am and 2 pm.

Each event will be unique based on how many and which volunteers are available to interpret their crafts. We reserve the right to cancel any occurrence with short notice.

What’s in Golden History Park?

The History Park is home to many of the original buildings from the old Pearce Ranch in Golden Gate Canyon. Stroll through the park and imagine yourself growing potatoes or raising chickens as part of a homesteading family. Peek through the windows of real 1800s cabins and see other buildings from the ranch like the barn, chicken coop and two-seat outhouse. You’ll also see the 1876 Guy Hill schoolhouse at the park. It was moved to Golden in 1976. Read more here.

AUtumn Fest 2021

AUtumn FestEver wondered what makes the city of Golden so special? Well, it’s you of course! At Golden History Museum & Park, we feel grateful to have such a wonderful community to serve. Come join us at our first AUtumn Fest to celebrate all of the things that make Golden a bright and shining community.

Rush down to the Golden History Museum (923 10th St.) from 11 – 4 for a packed afternoon of free activities. Check out some incredible chalk art, play a game, pop in to see silent movies made by our very own summer camp kids, and buy a bite from a local food truck. You’ll also have a chance to make your own art, hang out with some farm animals, and can even purchase a beverage at our back patio-turned beer garden.

The best part? It’s fun for the whole family and it’s a great way to welcome the fall season. Now that is just pure gold.
