Started by the Jefferson County Historical Commission in the 1990s, it was transferred to the Golden History Museum-City of Golden in 2020.

|History||Church Ranch Boulevard was completed on June 6, 1990 by Charles McKay, a descendant of George Henry Church family. McKay named the Boulevard for the members of the Church family as Phase #1 of the development.|
