This is an early beta version that’s still a work in progress. We hope to develop and refine the contents going forward. In the meantime, we’re making it fully available to the public as-is. Started by the Jefferson County Historical Commission in the 1990s, it was transferred to the Golden History Museum-City of Golden in 2020.

|History||The western part of Crown Hill Cemetery property was purchased with Open Space funds by Jefferson County, Wheat Ridge, and Lakewood. This is a part of the Henry Lee Homestead. The shallow lake was demoted to pond status. The new name is Kestral Pond as of July 30, 1992. Facilities include a biking path, picnic tables, a pavilion, fishing, the natural environment, rest rooms, and a walking path. All are very popular and used extensively.|
