| History | The 55-acre lake was created by Evergreen Dam, which was built in 1926-1927 by the City and County of Denver for flood control, water supply, and recreation, the latter in the form of year round fishing, boating and sailing in the summer and ice skating in the winter. The recreation activities are managed by the Evergreen Park and Recreation District. |
