| History | Grant School was built of adobe brick in 1864, but melted in a spring rainstorm by 1866. It was replaced by a log school c. 1867 at approximately Ward Road and W. 64th Ave. Grant School was named for Grant Precinct in which it was located. The precinct was probably named for President U.S. Grant. |
