| History | This reservoir is filled from Clear Creek, Elk Horn Draw, and Walnut Creek. The earliest appropriation date is December 31, 1878. The water is used for irrigation and municipal (Broomfield) needs. Municipal water was transferred into Great Western from Nissen and Zang Reservoirs in 1984, all in Water District #7. |
