HistoryFeb. 13, 1888, it was reported that at the Hall and Jones coal mine they are loading five cars per day for the railroad company, besides supplying a large local demand. A new steam pump had arrived and an air shaft is being sunk over the mine. Sept. 11, 1878, mine had 200-foot shaft with 102-foot crosscut.
