HistoryMcIntyre Gulch is named for the early Lakewood settler from Pennsylvania, William W. McIntyre, who obtained his 160 acres north of West Sixth Avenue along present day Wadsworth Boulevard through a military patent issued to Pero Quinto Pereider, a Mexican War veteran. It flows eastward and joins Lakewood Gulch west of Wadsworth Boulevard.
