History | Designed by the Austin Co., Cleveland, Ohio, and built by Mellwin Construction of Denver in 1953, this three-story, 23,448 sq. ft. building was used as the garage and fire station-vehicle maintenance and facilities for cleaning fire equipment. It is flat roofed "L" shaped structure made of reinforced concrete, with the exception of the eastern portion that is made of concrete block, and rests on a poured concrete foundation. |
