HistoryDesigned by Bernard Johnson Engineers, Inc. of Houston, Texas, and built by R.W. Mier Construction Co. of Golden, Colorado, in 1967, this one-story, 32,890 sq. ft. building housed the Chemical Analytical Lab to support plutonium production. It is a rectangular building with a flat-roofed, one-story ell running the length of the building's north side. Small wings extend form the northeast and southwest sides. In November 1989, operations ceased.
