| History | The Cornerstone was inscribed: "A.D. 1910 State Home and Training School for mental defectives, founded by the State of Colorado, through the efforts of Ella Parish Williams of the State Board of Correctives." The building where the cornerstone was laid burned, and the cornerstone and its contents were rescued and moved to the Colorado Historical Society in 1992. The school was also known as `Ridge Home' by the local citizens because it was located on Ridge Road. |
