Rent Golden History Museum & Park

With two locations very close to Golden’s quaint downtown, a Golden History Museum & Park rental offers unique experiences that range from rustic to ritzy. Golden History Museum & Park has perfect options for those who are more casual and scenery-focused. Our strength lies in all that Golden has to offer:  quiet mountain charm, abundant recreation, and an unparalleled backdrop.

Golden History Park

Our rustic three-acre park is ideal for those with a “Do It Yourself (DIY)” mindset. Whether you are interested in having your wedding ceremony and/or reception with us or intent on hosting a large event such as family reunion or a corporate retreat, Golden History Park offers a unique experience for your guests.

Amenities

During your rental, you and the guests will have exclusive access to all outdoor features of the three-acre historic park. Additionally, you may use any vendors you wish to cater or furnish the event, which allows you to personalize the space to create a unique experience on your budget.

Extras

An event tent is recommended for your event, however, it is not required. This tent may serve as your inclement weather plan or be utilized for shade during your event. Depending on the size of the tent you may be required to apply for an Operational Permit issued by the City of Golden Fire Department (call the Golden Fire Department to learn more).

For an additional cost, you many rent Pearce Cabin and the Guy Hill Schoolhouse. These quaint historic structures may be rented for a maximum of two hours.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol is permitted within Golden History Park, provided you complete an Open Container (for non-sales) or Special Event (for sales) permit. We can help you with these; small fees are required.

  • discounted rate begins at 7 hours for a fee of $1,600

Golden History Museum

Set amidst our historic rose garden, along a babbling stream and shaded by the canopy of an ancient cottonwood, there is no better setting for a private reception than the Garden Patio of Golden History Museum. Enjoy our patio and bar seating for 35, or work with a rental company to seat up to 60. Your caterer of choice will have access to the museum kitchen with refrigerator, sink and microwave, and your guests will have access to the museum exhibits at no extra cost.

In winter, your holiday party will light up the night as your guests use the Patio as a home base to stop for a hot drink and a snack while enjoying being in the middle of Golden’s unparalleled holiday light display, shopping and nightlife.
