Golden Museum Rental
With two locations very close to Golden’s quaint downtown, a Golden Museum Rental offers unique experiences that range from rustic to ritzy. While Golden History Museum & Park is perfect for those who are more casual and scenery-focused. Our strength lies in all that Golden has to offer: quiet mountain charm, abundant recreation, and an unparalleled backdrop.
Our rustic three-acre park is ideal for those with a “Do It Yourself (DIY)” mindset. Whether you are interested in having your wedding ceremony and/or reception with us or intent on hosting a large event such as family reunion or a corporate retreat, Golden History Park offers a unique experience for your guests.
Park amenities include use of the 1800s schoolhouse and Pearce/Helps Cabin—both locations are suitable for bride and groom suites for changing and preparations. We, of course, have recommendations on hand for vendors, but we won’t limit choices for your event. You and your guests will have private access to the entire park with a museum staff member on site to help troubleshoot problems which may arise.
Your rental includes the use of our 20’ x 40’ event tent (walls included) at no extra charge (in summer and part of spring and fall–ask for details). This tent may be utilized for the reception or ceremony, or can simply be on standby for a weather plan. You may string lights and other non-damaging decorations to personalize this feature. Little more decoration is needed as Mount Zion or South Table Mountain are in view alongside the park’s natural grasses and our quaint historic structures.
Alcohol is permitted within Golden History Park, provided you complete an Open Container (for non-sales) or Special Event (for sales) permit. We can help you with these; small fees are required.

Set amidst our historic rose garden, along a babbling stream and shaded by the canopy of an ancient cottonwood, there is no better setting for a private reception than the Garden Patio of Golden History Museum. Enjoy our patio and bar seating for 35, or work with a rental company to seat up to 60. Your caterer of choice will have access to the museum kitchen with refrigerator, sink and microwave, and your guests will have access to the museum exhibits at no extra cost.
In winter, your holiday party will light up the night as your guests use the Patio as a home base to stop for a hot drink and a snack while enjoying being in the middle of Golden’s unparalleled holiday light display, shopping and nightlife.
